The Kingfisher NuBus card is a high quality video digitizer with transcoding built in. It can digitize and transcode from PAL or NTSC accepting all common video formats, Composite, S-Video (S-VHS), RGB and YUV (Betacam/MII). Kingfisher will also convert any of these formats into any other, for example from S-Video into YUV or RGB to Composite.
Kingfisher features full size real time frame capture of video in true colour at resolutions of up to 640x480 (NTSC) and 768x576 (PAL). With built in hardware control of Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Hue and automatic picture sharpening, video is easily adjusted before movies are made.
Kingfisher has a fully QuickTime literate application which allows Movie recording and play back at up to 30 frames per second direct to disk. Gamma Correction, Contrast Enhancement, Flicker and Noise Filtering are all readily adjustable. Captured images can be saved in PICT2, TIFF, PICS or Movie file formats. Captured sequences can be edited and processed to produce the very best results before being turned into Movies. Images can be captured in either 256 levels of grey, 256 system colours, thousands of colours or 24 bit true colour.
Kingfisher supports Adobe Photoshop™ via a plug-in module that offers the full range of digital controls, filters and enhancements provided by the application. Kingfisher also has a QuickTime component for movie making in other applications.
